Bring Up Fireworks—How Do We Make Colours Explode

Summer festivals are not only fun for all the foods they’re providing and the activities they’re offering, but also because of their well-anticipated fireworks. Those orchestrated explosions are so grandiose that most can’t help but feel moved by the spectacle. Some may even start wondering what makes those magical displays, and I am for sure one of them. Most of my knowledge about fireworks came from school, where one of my teachers told us about the many components: Oxidizers, fuel, colouring salts and a binding agent. However, what I didn’t know pertained to how they change from one explosion to the next. They can be of different shapes, different colours, and different dimensions. What’s interesting about alcohol -other than its inebriating properties- are its disinfectant and antiseptic properties. So whenever we clean or injure ourselves, we most likely come in contact with these forms of alcohol. But not all alcohol is safe to drink, so please stick with your ethanol of choice.

The cycle of seasons is one of them, allowing for a perpetual ordered rotation between Spring, Summer, Autumn (Fall), and Winter. Each season seems to bring its specific load of unique characteristics. One of the most well-known characteristics is the temperature change that accompanies each season, with heat associated mainly with Summer and cold with Winter. Although there exist many more, few of us can describe each of them. From precipitation to day length, with this article, you will be able to know each of their features. Maybe you will even come to ask yourselves if the notion of four seasons is also right. I will try my best to answer this question. Why four seasons and why not two, or eight for that matter?
