Bring Up Alexithymia – What does it mean to be emotionally blind

Emotions play a fundamental role in the way we conduct social interactions. How finely tuned we are to them will be the best indicator of how easy it is for us to maintain relationships. That said, there exist some people with significant handicaps when comes time to interact with others. I am specifically talking about people that display signs of alexithymia (or emotional blindness). In intense emotional situations, people affected by alexithymia are very likely to react inappropriately, since they are not able to read the situation adequately. In sum, living with someone showing signs of alexithymia could prove itself difficult. We first have to realize that emotions are very complicated. It takes years of training and practice to succeed in differentiating them. In the incapacity to differentiate, we have to compensate with all means necessary. In dealing with my fiancé, I’ve discovered that two-way communication had always succeeded in filling the gap left by his emotional blindness. Bring Up Pain – Where all of this hurt comes from

It’s hard to imagine a life without feeling, but we can all imagine a life without pain. People would all agree that it does sound dreamy. Without pain there is no suffering, and without suffering there is only happiness and joy, right? Pain experts would absolutely not agree with that statement. They have realized the importance of pain in our life, and especially its importance in our survival. Without pain our life expectancy would significantly drop, making even the success rate of reaching adulthood drastically low. This is because when we injure ourselves, the only thing stopping us from injuring ourselves further is pain. Without pain, we just wouldn’t know what to avoid. Thus, getting to know the mechanistic and origin of pain is a must. This is why I created this article so that anyone could understand. Bring Up The Beginning – How it all started

What is ”growing up”? What makes for maturity? Different people might have very different answers to those questions. Some might have a more physiological view and claim that growing up is the same as aging. Or some might even have a more philosophical approach and think that growing up is the unavoidable outcome produced by looking deeply into one’s true self. It really doesn’t matter what the view is, in all views, I see one common denominator, which is the accumulation of experience. I could have just described the latter as life when I think about it. By the process of growing up, we go through ups and downs and everything in between. All those experiences begin somewhere, whether it’s our birth or our first day of school. Without beginnings we cannot be, so dive into this article to see a glimpse at the person I was, I am and that I’m trying to become. Maybe you’ll find out at the end that I am no different than you.
